For PDO Thread Lifts

Numbing Cream for PDO Threads

Compounded Triple-Anesthetic BLT

A thread lift starts at the skin: every entry point and every pass of the needle or cannula. Always Numb™, a compounded BLT (Benzocaine 20% · Lidocaine 10% · Tetracaine 10%), handles the surface so your injected anesthesia plan can handle what lies beneath. For licensed providers.

Two Layers of Comfort

Topical for the Surface,
Your Plan Below It

Polydioxanone threads are placed beneath the skin through small entry points. Many providers pair a topical with injected local anesthetic at the entry points and along the thread path. A topical alone is often not enough for cog or barbed lifts; how you anesthetize the deeper plane is your clinical call.

Calmer Entry Points
Numbing the skin first means the local anesthetic injections themselves are more comfortable.
Mono Threads
Smooth mono threads for skin quality use many shallow passes. A topical does more of the work here than on a full lift.
Room for the Whole Visit
About 15 minutes to take effect and 2–4 hours of numbness covers mapping, marking and the procedure.
Treatment Areas

Where Threads Go,
What Changes

Midface
Cheek Lift
Entry points usually sit near the hairline or temple. Cover them plus the thread path.
Jawline
Jowls · Contour
Longer threads and more passes. Plan the session to finish inside the numbing window.
Brows
Brow Lift
Close to the eyes. Keep the cream well away from them and follow your protocol for the periorbital area.
Neck
Mono Threads
A wider area of shallow passes. Numb only the section treated in that session.
Application Guidance

A Thread Appointment
Step by Step

General guidance for licensed providers. Always defer to your own protocol and the directions for use.

01
Map & Mark
Photograph, plan vectors and mark entry points before numbing. Wiping the cream off can lift marker lines.
02
Apply
A thin, even layer over the entry points and thread paths. Leave it uncovered.
03
Wait ~15–20 min
Finish consent and set up your threads while the BLT reaches working depth.
04
Remove & Prep
Wipe it off completely, re-check your marks, then sterile prep and your injected anesthesia before placing threads.
Questions

PDO Thread Numbing FAQ

Often not on its own for cog or barbed lifts. Many providers use a topical first, then injected local anesthetic at the entry points and along the thread path. For shallow mono threads a topical may do more of the work. It is your clinical call.
Roughly 15 to 20 minutes before, on clean, dry skin, then removed completely before sterile prep. Follow your own protocol.
Before. Removing the cream can lift marker lines, so map and photograph first, then re-check the marks after wiping.
